Jay began work at SBC Wireless in 2001. In the spring of 2002 he helped to unionize what had become Cingular and joined the CWA Local 6016. In the fall of 2004 he became a steward. In 2005 he took part in organizing over 1100 employees after AT&T Wireless was purchased by Cingular. In 2006 he began participating in the Union Community Activist Network with the United Way of Central Oklahoma and is currently the co-chair of the UCAN Disaster Response Team. In the fall of 2013 he was elected to complete the unexpired term for position of Executive Vice-President and was elected President of the CWA local 6016 in the fall of 2014.
E. Dianna Brooks also known as Mrs. Brooks started the CWA journey back in 1980. I worked as a union steward and quickly organized the TSPS operators here in the Oklahoma City area. We were 95% organized. I ran for Executive Vice-President for Local 6050 and served 3 terms. I have always been a loyal officier to our members as well as CWA. I have over 30 years of experience dealing with management and the grievance process. In order to represent our members I truly believe that you Must be able to communicate effectively. My name is Charlotte, I started working with Avaya in 1998 in Oklahoma City. I got involved with CWA shortly after and became a Chief Steward in 2006. Over the years I have been involved with many CWA events and mobilizations. Jan 1, 2017 I will begin my role as Secretary Treasurer. I hope to serve you all well. After several years representing members as a steward and Chief Steward, Mike is serving his third term as Vice-President where he represents AT&T Mobility Call Center and Retail Employees. Mike is very involved with raising money for United Way and America Red Cross and participates in the annual pledge drives. Mike enjoys camping and spending time at the lake with his family and friends. Mike has been nominated and elected for AT&T Mobility District 6 bargaining committee for the past two contract negotiations, the 2012 and 2016 Labor Agreements and recently was again elected to bargain the 2020 mobility contract. Mike has been a Trainer with Trainer the Trainer, an active CWA Strong participant and is working on the Unity at Mobility campaign.
I started with AT&T on December 8, 1986 in Virginia, I later moved on with the company as it merge and became Lucent technologies and transferred to Atlanta, GA in 1998. The company continued it's merger and became AVAYA Inc and I later transferred to OKC in 2009.
I have been a part of CWA since my employment started, being a active member, Job Steward, elective Chief Steward, interim Vice President and now have been officially elective for Vice President of AVAYA.
I have served on various committees; Women, Community Service, Election, Equity and Legislative. I was part of the team that mobilized Cingular throughout Georgia in CWA Local 3204.
